Michelle Swain, M. Ed.

For decades, Michelle Swain has committed to providing gifted learners with the opportunities, instruction, and tools to further their education. Her dedication is demonstrated by her accomplishments in districts across the country, particularly her own, and her family is her drive. Implementing the KOI and Planned Experiences for many years, Michelle Swain and P. A. Publishing have long enjoyed our working friendship.

Michelle Swain currently serves Round Rock ISD as the Director of Gifted and Advanced Academic Services, overseeing gifted programming, college-credit-bearing-coursework (AP, IB, OnRamps, and dual credit), college readiness assessments (SAT Suite, TSIA, Princeton Review), and AVID. She is the Governance Secretary for the NAGC Board and has served on the TAGT Board, including as TAGT 2011 President. Michelle serves on numerous committees and task forces for a variety of organizations, and is excited to have been recently elected to the College Board Southwestern Regional Council. Michelle was honored as the 2013 TAGT State Administrator of the Gifted and received the 2015 NAGC Gifted Coordinator Award. Michelle continues to consult and present regarding gifted and advanced academic programming across Texas and the nation.
